Traveling through RIC? You might want to come hungry. The Capital Region Airport Commission just approved plans for four new food and drink spots that blend local flavor with global flair, as reported by Richmond BizSense.
Think: smoothie bowls, craft beer, and a little Wolfgang Puck glamour.
New Dining Spots at RIC
The airport put out a call for fresh food vendors—and the lineup does not disappoint.
The Beet Box x2
Local favorite The Beet Box is expanding with two new concepts:
- A Beet Box Café and kiosk
- A new Homegrown Local Bar & Marketplace
Known for its smoothies, wraps, juices, and bowls, The Beet Box will post up on Concourse A near gates A-8 and A-11.
Hardywood Park Craft Brewery
Yep, your airport beer just got a serious upgrade. Hardywood is setting up a bar near gates A-15 and A-16. It’s still TBD on whether they’ll offer food, but their beers alone are worth a pre-flight pit stop.
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Bites
The celeb chef with the airport empire is bringing Bar & Bites to Concourse B near gates B-14 and B-15. Expect an all-day menu—breakfast, lunch, dinner—served up Puck-style.

Why It Matters
RIC isn’t just upgrading your gate-side coffee. These new additions are part of a broader push to modernize the airport’s dining game—and give travelers a real taste of Richmond before (or after) takeoff.
Bonus: It all kicks off later this year. So if you’re flying out for the holidays, you might just catch it in action.
